FOS 2022

The annual Friends of Scouting campaign provides Scouters, parents, alumni, businesses, and community members with an opportunity to support the programs and facilities of the Hawk Mountain Council.

The true cost of Scouting is much greater than what local dues or event and camping fees cover. Yearly registration fees directly support the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America and help provide program development and research, literature, and other resources.

The Friends of Scouting Campaign gives individuals and businesses the opportunity to contribute to the Hawk Mountain Council at a level of their own choosing according to their interest and ability to give.

Join our Herbie Hawk Society

The Hawk Mountain Council, Herbie Hawk Society, is a monthly giving program to provide ongoing, regular support for Scouting. By committing to a monthly gift of at least $10, you can be a part of this exclusive group. The Herbie Hawk Society helps Scouting lower fundraising costs by eliminating monthly reminders and data entry.

A gift of $16.00 per month supports one youth for a year.

Recognition

In recognition of your support of the annual Friends of Scouting campaign, we have created a Council Shoulder Strip series.  These patches are given at 3 levels, plus a special patch for the Herbie Hawk Society.  We greatly appreciate any and all support of Scouting

Family Friends of Scouting

Family Friends of Scouting is an opportunity for families, friends, and alumni to support Scouting. When a member joins, the $66 registration fee goes directly to the national office of the Boy Scouts of America. If a Scout unit collects dues, that money stays with the unit to help pay for supplies, advancements, and other activities. None of that money supports the Hawk Mountain Council.
