Sporting Clays Classic – 2021

The 8th annual Sporting Clays Classic will take place on April 23, 2021, at M&E Sporting Clays.  The Sporting Clays Classic is a fun and competitive event to raise money to support the young women and men of the Hawk Mountain Council. In the event’s first seven years, over $400,000 was raised!

The day begins with a Novice Shooter Instruction Station at 10:30 am. Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 am. At 12:45 pm, we have an opening ceremony and a safety briefing. The competition kicks off at 1:00 pm and is followed by dinner, a raw bar, social time, and the awards ceremony.

Each participant shoots a 100-target course and receives a commemorative shooter gift and 12-gauge shells for the course.

Gathering of Eagles and Silver Beaver Recognition Event

 

On November 8, the Hawk Mountain Council held its annual Gathering of Eagles and Silver Beaver Recognition Event.  We recognized the 107 young men that have followed the Scouting path to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in 2019 along with 4 Silver Beaver recipients.

Congratulations to all our Eagle Scouts and Silver Beavers!

This event was held virtually via YouTube and can be watched below.

Service to Youth and Community Breakfast

The Hawk Mountain Council held the 6th Annual Service to Youth and Community Breakfast on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at the Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation. This event honored a distinguished local citizen and celebrated Scouting in the Hawk Mountain Council.

We were pleased to honor Robert S. Carl, Jr, President & CEO, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, as our Distinguished Citizen.

Our 2020 Service to Youth & Community honorees were Michael Barner & David Krall.
