Renewal Process

Member and Charter Renewal Process – February 2025 Update

Charter Renewal

NOTE: This is a separate process from Individual Membership Renewals

Unit Renewal Guide for Unit Key 3 Members

Walk in / drop off renewals cannot be processed same day. Please allow up to 3 business days to be completed. If choosing this option, make sure all forms and payments are submitted as early as possible to avoid delays in membership.

*Note on changing positions – only the Chartered Organization Representative (COR) or COR Delegate (separate from Key 3 Delegate) can change positions in the system. This can occur any time of year via my.Scouting’s Organization Manager -> Position Manager and does not need to occur during Unit Renewal.

Individual Membership Renewal

Membership and Charter renewal is upon us for a majority of our members – Vickie or Cole at the main office are here to make the process smooth and easy and to make sure that members are renewed and ready for their next year of membership! There are a few renewal options and they are listed in the preferred order to help ensure the most efficient experience for everyone.

*Note on Arrow of Light youth – in order to have their Arrow of Light rank recorded, they must be currently registered in a Cub Scout Pack. Once transferred to a  Scouts BSA Troop, the rank cannot be added by the unit. If your AOLs have not earned the rank yet, do not transfer them to a Troop.*

Detailed guides are available in each section.

  1. Member Renewal by Individuals – Online (Preferred)

Youth Individual Registration Renewal By Parents

  1. Member Renewal by Units – Online (Preferred)

Unit Pays for Member Renewals

Why choose one of the online methods? They’re fast, convenient, and can be done from the comfort of your home! Online renewal also helps us streamline our processes, allowing our team to focus on supporting your Scouting experience.

  1. Member Renewal by Units – In Person (As Needed)

While we encourage using online options due to relative ease of use and staffing limitations, we understand that some may need to renew in person. If necessary, unit leaders can complete renewal forms and submit payment by visiting the council office with the required documents. If you need to use this option, please reach out to your District Executive to see if they can work with you on an online option before starting this method.
Guide for In Person Renewal

Walk in / drop off renewals cannot be processed same day. Please allow up to 3 business days to be completed. If choosing this option, make sure all forms and payments are submitted as early as possible to avoid delays in membership.

Thank you for helping us support an efficient renewal process!
Choosing one of the preferred online options not only saves time but also enables our staff to focus on what matters most:
Delivering an excellent Scouting experience for you and your unit!

If you have any questions or run into any issues, please reach out to Vickie or Cole at the main office at 610.926.3406 or you can click their names to send them a quick email!

Thanks for all you do for Scouting!
