Youth Protection Training Information

Dear Hawk Mountain Council Volunteers and Parents,

Youth Protection Begins With You

I hope this message finds you well. As dedicated members of our Scouting community, your commitment and enthusiasm have always been the driving force behind the success and growth of our programs. Youth Protection Training is a cornerstone of our mission to ensure the safety and well-being of our youth.

In alignment with Scouting America’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding our young members, it is mandatory for all registered volunteers to complete Youth Protection Training as a joining requirement. This training is not just a formality; it is an essential tool that equips us with the knowledge and skills to protect our youth from harm.

To maintain the highest standards of safety, this training must be renewed every two years. Volunteers who do not complete their training renewal will be suspended from Scouting and not allowed to participate in any meetings or activities until it has been completed.. This policy is in place to ensure that every adult involved in our programs is up to date with the latest protocols and best practices in youth protection.

We understand that your time is valuable, and we deeply appreciate your dedication to this critical aspect of Scouting. Your participation in Youth Protection Training demonstrates your commitment to creating a secure and nurturing environment for our young Scouts.
Thank you for your support and for being vigilant protectors of our youth. Together, we can continue to foster a safe and enriching environment where our Scouts can thrive.

Yours in Scouting,

Davis Fox
Scout Executive/CEO
