The Service to Eagle Scouts Award, also colloquially referred to as the “Bruce Schutt” Award was created in 2018 to honor the memory of Mr. Schutt for his commitment to the Boy Scouts of America and youth he had mentored and served over his lifetime as a volunteer in the Hawk Mountain Council, Inc., BSA.
The purpose of this award is to honor a leader in Scouting who has gone above and beyond call of duty to assist an Eagle Scout or Eagle Scouts as they climb the Trail to Eagle. Worthy Scout Leaders have distinguished themselves as a Scouter who has made an impact on the lives of youth who have earned the highest rank in Scouting, Eagle Scout.
The award is typically presented at the annual Gathering of Eagles Reception. All nominations must be received by the end of March. Nomination forms can be downloaded via this link: Bruce Schutt Eagle Mentor Award Form HMC Fillable, or a paper copy of the form can be picked up at the Council Office.
All nominations are to be received by the Staff Advisor to the Gathering of Eagles Committee, Chas Andrews.
