Thank you Generous Donors and Scouting Families!
We at the Hawk Mountain Council hope you and your family are staying healthy in this very challenging time. The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly created a great many hardships within our communities, and we know that some, if not many of our families, are experiencing both financial and health-related problems. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to those who are in need.
Scouting has changed, along with many other organizations, in how we deliver the program. Many of our Scouting units have continued to meet via video conference. Online opportunities to earn various merit badges have been developed and we know that over 70 youth worked on the Salesmanship merit badge offered in late March via Zoom. On April 17th an April 24th we held Virtual Campfires with over 200 families participating in songs, skits, and cheers. It is always amazing when we see what our volunteers and staff do for our youth and our communities.
The Hawk Mountain Council relaunched the annual Friends of Scouting campaign by participating in #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5th. We are pleased to share that thanks to the generous support of our donors we raised $4,005 towards our $5,000 goal.

We thank all of you, our wonderful families, volunteers, and donors, who make it possible for our youth to learn the values of helping other people at all times, for teaching them leadership, and instilling in them the 12 points of the Scout Law.
Please stay healthy and with your help Scouting will emerge from this pandemic and continue teaching Skills for Life.
Thank you for the consideration of a gift at this time.
Yours in Scouting,
