Citizenship in Society Merit Badge
Citizenship in Society is a new merit badge that is required for the rank of Eagle Scout as of July 1, 2022. The emphasis of Citizenship in Society is for Scouts to explore ways to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law. This merit badge is different. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) / Did You Know Moments
The Hawk Mountain Council, BSA has incorporated Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) / Did You Know Moments into our Board meetings, staff meetings, and Joint Council Committee meetings to encourage continued learning and thoughtfulness about Diversity – Equity – Inclusion – Belonging. Please use this idea list: DEIB – Did You Know Moments to begin adding DEIB / Did You Know moments to committee meetings, troop meetings, pack meetings, and more. There are a variety of ideas in the document, and they vary in length to accommodate different meeting schedules. Hawk Mountain Council DEI Taskforce
Thank you to our Council DEI Taskforce for completing their work on preparing their recommendations to the Executive Board on our DEI Goals.
