SPECIALTY CAMPS

Webelos Extended Camp

Webelos Extended Camp reservations for Session I, August 14-17 or Session II, August 17-20 are now being accepted. The Leader Orientation Meeting will take place Sunday, May 22, 2005. Webelos Extended Camp is available for any first or second year Webelos. The fee for Webelos Extended is $95.00 per Scout. A $20.00 per Scout deposit is due May 1, 2005. Final payment is due by July 1, 2005.

Cub Super Weekend - June 24-26, 2005

This is a unique opportunity for a Cub Scout and his male and/or female adult partner(s) to spend a weekend together with wholesome Cub Scout activities. The weekend will feature an afternoon and evening of games, crafts, aquatic activities, a campfire program and an overnight camping experience.

Arrival will be Friday, June 24 at 6:00 PM. Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast will be provided in the Camp Meade Dining Hall. Departure will be Sunday morning after breakfast.

The fee for the weekend is $50.00 for the Cub Scout and Adult Partner. In the case of a second Cub Scout or second Adult partner in the family participating, the additional fee is $20.00 per person. This fee includes your meals, a memento, and accident insurance for the weekend. No refunds will be available after June 7, 2005.

COPE - Weekend

Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience (COPE) is an exciting outdoor program that strives to develop teamwork, communications, trust, self-esteem, problem solving, decision-making and fun in a group setting. Initiative games, low course challenges and high course experiences await all participants. Participants will climb, swing, balance, jump, rappel and think of solutions to various activities.

Are you 16 years of age or over (including adults) and interested in being on Year Round C.O.P.E. or Summer Camp C.O.P.E. Staff? The Hawk Mountain Council C.O.P.E. Committee will be holding a C.O.P.E. Weekend on April 1 - 3, 2005 at the Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation. The purpose of this fun weekend is to identify and train youth and adults to serve on weekend or Summer Camp C.O.P.E. Staff.

The cost for the weekend is $25.00 and includes sleeping accommodations in either Activities 1 or 2 buildings and meals for the weekend. Participants should plan to arrive on Friday, April 1 by 6:00 P.M. and check-in at the Boy Scout Administration building. On Saturday and Sunday, participants will have the opportunity to participate in low and high element challenges. The weekend will conclude on Sunday by 4:00 P.M.

The weekend is open to youth (male or female) and registered in Boy Scouts, Venturing or Exploring; however, you must be 16 years of age on or before April1, 2005.
