The Boy Scout's of America's 100th Anniversary

In February 2010, the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate 100 years as an organization. Founded as an outlet to prepare every eligible youth in America to become a participating citizen and leader, BSA has more than fulfilled its mission. Today, as we celebrate our first 100 years, we not only reflect on our rich history, but lay the foundation for a strong future, as well.

The Boy Scouts of America's 100th anniversary represents much more than a date on the calendar. It represents an important milestone around which to reintroduce Scouting to America – to celebrate our rich heritage and to reinforce the important role Scouting will play in shaping our country's future.

Scouting is as vital and relevant today as it was when our journey began.

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has created a strong foundation of leadership, service, and community for millions of America’s youth. We celebrate this legacy as we reaffirm our commitment to inspire and prepare future generations.
